DECORATIONS
VEGETATION MAY NOT BE PLANTED BY A PLOT OWNER WITHOUT FIRST OBTAINING PERMISSION FROM THE GROUNDS MANAGER. IF ANY PLANT, SHRUB OR TREE BECOMES AN OBSTRUCTION TO THE SETUP OF BURIALS, SPRINKLERS, OR IS UNSIGHTLY OR INTERFERES WITH THE GENERAL MAINTENANCE OF CEMETERY GROUNDS, THE GROUNDS MANAGER MAY REMOVE THE PLANT, SHRUB, OR TREE AND THE CEMETERY DISTRICT IS NOT REQUIRED TO REPLACE IT OR TO BEAR THE REPLACEMENT COSTS.
DECORATIONS LEFT ON GRAVE SITES WILL BE REMOVED IF LEFT FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME OR BECOME UNSIGHTLY AND OR INTERFERE WITH GENERAL MAINTENANCE, BUT NO SOONER THAN TWO WEEKS AFTER A HOLIDAY EXCEPT AFTER MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND.
PETS
OUT OF RESPECT FOR OUR DECEASED AND THEIR FAMILIES NO PETS ARE PERMITTED ON THE GROUNDS, SAVE THEY BE SERVICE ANIMALS. ANY SERVICE ANIMAL MUST BE ATTENDED TO AT ALL TIMES AND NOT ALLOWED TO RELIEVE THEMSELVES ON THE PREMISES.
PLOTS
ALL PROPERTY OWNERS AND PERSONS WITHIN THE CEMETERY AND ALL PLOTS SOLD SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE CURRENT RULES AND REGULATION OF THE STAR CEMETERY MAINTENANCE DISTRICT.
OWNERSHIP OF BURIAL PLOT CONSISTS OF THE RIGHT OF INTERMENT OF THE HUMAN DEAD AND CAN BE USED FOR NO OTHER PURPOSE. NO EASEMENT OR RIGHT OF INTERMENT IS GRANTED TO ANY PLOT OWNER IN ANY ROAD, DRIVE, ALLEY OR WALKWAY WITHIN THE CEMETERY. THE ASHES OF HUMAN REMAINS SHALL NOT BE SPRINKLED ON THE CEMETERY GROUNDS.
CEMETERY PLOTS WILL BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO BURIAL OR THE RIGHT OF INTERMENT BEING ISSUED. PLOTS MAY BE RESERVED OR PLACE ON HOLD FOR A MAXIMUM OF SIXTY DAYS UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENT ARE MADE WITH AND APPROVED BY THE OFFICE MANAGER.
THE CEMETERY ALLOWS A MAXIMUM OF TWO INDIVIDUALS PER PLOT IN EITHER THE FORM OF ONE FULL-SIZE INTERMENT AND ONE ASHES OR TWO ASHES. ASHES ONLY SECTION MAY TAKE A MAXIMUM OF 2 URNS. COLUMBARIUM VAULTS ALLOW A SINGLE URN ONLY.
GRANTEE (PURCHASER) MAY NOT SALE TO ANY OTHER PARTY, ANY INTEREST WHATSOEVER IN ANY PLOT(S), EXCEPT THAT THE PURCHASER MAY, UPON THE EXPRESS WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION OF THE STAR CEMETERY DISTRICT FOR THE SAME PURCHASE PRICE AS WAS PAID TO ACQUIRE THE PROPERTY. A GRANTEE MAY TRANSFER THE RIGHT OF INTERMENT WITH AUTHORIZATION FROM THE CEMETERY.
PLOT TRANSFERS WITHIN THE CEMETERY WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER: FLAT MONUMENT FOR FLAT MONUMENT; RAISED MONUMENT FOR RAISED MONUMENT. IF A TRADE FOR A PLOT OF LESSER VALUE IS MADE FOR ONE OF HIGHER VALUE, THE DIFFERENCE IN PLOT PRICES WILL BE PAID.
THE CEMETERY WILL NOT ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH ANY MORTUARY OR ANY PRIVATE PERSON FOR THE PURCHASING OF CEMETERY PLOTS ON A TIME-PAYMENT BASIS.
IN EVERY EARTH INTERMENT, THE CASKET SHALL BE ENCLOSED IN AN OUTER CONCRETE BURIAL CONTAINER OF STRENGTH DESIGN ACCEPTABLE TO THE DISTRICT. CREMAINS SHALL BE BURIAL CONTAINERS OF NATURE THAT IS SATISFACTORY TO THE DISTRICT AND DO NOT REQUIRE AN OUTER BURIAL VAULT.
MARKERS
ALL MARKERS MUST BE SET BY APPROVED MARKER COMPANIES.
BEHAVIOR
THE PUBLIC IS GRANTED ACCESS TO CEMETERY GROUNDS BETWEEN SUN UP AND SUNDOWN.
AUTOMOBILES ON THE CEMETERY GROUNDS SHALL OBSERVE A SPEED LIMIT OF 5 MILES PER HOUR.
AUTOMOBILES MAY NOT PARK OR COME TO A FULL STOP IN FRONT OF AN OPEN GRAVE UNLESS SAID AUTOS ARE MORTUARY VEHICLES.
NO VEHICLES EXCEPT CEMETERY DISTRICT VEHICLES SHALL BE ALLOWED ON CEMETERY GRASS AT ANY TIME UNLESS THE GROUNDS OR OFFICE MANAGER HAS GRANTED PERMISSION.
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND/OR ILLEGAL DRUGS AND BOISTEROUS ACTIVITIES ARE NOT ALLOWED
LITTERING ON THE DRIVES AND PATHWAYS OR ANY PART OF THE CEMETERY GROUNDS OR BUILDINGS IS PROHIBITED.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE WILL THE DISTRICT OR ANY EMPLOYEE BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST PROPERTY WHICH IS LEFT ON PLOTS OR ON THE CEMETERY GROUNDS. PATRONS HAVE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ITEMS LEFT ON GRAVE SITES. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE WILL THE DISTRICT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURY TO MARKERS, THEFT FROM MARKER, MONUMENT, AUTO, OR OTHER PROPERTY.
GRAVE DECORATION REMOVAL
EXCEPT FOR DISTRICT MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL ENGAGED IN THE COURSE OF THEIR OFFICIAL DUTIES. IT SHALL BE AGAINST THE RULES OF THE STAR CEMETERY DISTRICT AND UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON NOT THE TITLED OWNER OF A CEMETERY PLOT TO REMOVE FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS, MEMORIALS OR DECORATIONS OF ANY FORM OR TYPE FROM ANY CEMETERY PLOT MAINTAINED BY THE DISTRICT UNLESS SAID PERSON IS THE CURRENTLY TITLED OWNER OF RECORD OF THE CEMETERY PLOT FROM WHICH THE DECORATION IS REMOVED. ANY PERSON VIOLATING THIS RULE WILL BE DEEMED TO HAVE COMMITTED A TRESPASS AGAINST THE DISTRICT, A CONVERSION OF PROPERTY AGAINST THE OWNER OF THE PLOT AND SHALL BE REFERRED TO THE ADA COUNTY PROSECUTORS OFFICE FOR POSSIBLE CRIMINAL ACTION UNDER RELEVANT SECTIONS OF THE IDAHO CODE. THE BOARD SHALL HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO PLACE APPROPRIATE WARNING SIGNS AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE CEMETERY TO NOTIFY THE PUBLIC OF THIS POLICY.
