Star Cemetery

The Star Cemetery has a deep history to the area. It was once called the Home of the Peace Cemetery. This changed to Star Cemetery 50-60 years ago when the county took over maintenance. The cemetery is operated by the “Star Cemetery Maintenance District” and does receive some tax support which is composed of properties within Ada County, and the City of Star, Eagle, and Meridian.
The Star Cemetery Maintenance District is charge with the care, improving and maintaining the Star Cemetery under Idaho statute. We strive to care for the cemetery in a manner that will give our constituents and the public a place of peace and beauty for burial and memorialization of the decease.
